Stoney Cove
A dedicated inland dive site situated in the county of Leicestershire. The Cove is based on a disused quarry and has 3 diving levels, ranging from 6 metres for novice divers, 22 metres for intermediate divers and 36 metres for Deep qualified divers. When all quarrying ceased, spring water was allowed to flood the quarry workings, Five years later, the flooded quarry had already become popular with local pioneers of diving and waterskiing. Hence Stoney Cove was born. Stoney Cove has many underwater attractions for all divers. The Stanegarth, the U.K.'s largest inland ship wreck, and the Nautilus submarine have both provided major new attractions.
